FibreSpan announces 2007 financial results

With gross profit up by 57%

London, United Kingdom, 7 November 2008

FibreSpan, the premier provider of private fibre optic connectivity for local area and metropolitan area networks, announced today its financial results and operating highlights for the year ended 31 December 2007.

Throughout 2007, the company continued to increase market share, strengthening its place as one of the leading Telco’s in the provision of dark fibre network connectivity across the UK metropolitan landscape. Revenue growth increased 34% with gross profitability up 57%, year on year.

Network presence currently extends across a broad spectrum of towns and cities across the UK, including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff and Newcastle, and is continually growing.

“I am delighted to announce another set of strong financial results following an excellent year. This is a clear result of our commitment to offer the best value and customer service on the market. Our recent appointment to the UK government telecoms procurement framework has given us firm footing in the public sector market place, and our private sector client list continues to expand. I envisage this growth will continue throughout 2008, notwithstanding the general economic outlook.” comments Robert Bicket, CEO of FibreSpan.

The company also moved to new offices in Ocean Village, Southampton that can accommodate their growing number of employees and serve as headquarters for all UK operations. “The new offices are a real reflection of the success we have had and testimony to our continuing growth,” says Peter Caplan, Chairman. “With the need for fibre optic connectivity becoming apparent to companies everywhere, we expect to realise all our ambitious plans for continued expansion.
