FibreSpan is still the best value

According to Hammersmith and Fulham

London, United Kingdom, 22 May 2008

The London Borough Council of Hammersmith and Fulham has once again appointed FibreSpan to provide a private dark fibre network between two council offices.  The agreement enables the Council to further facilitate high-speed communication and host advanced software applications across a secure, bespoke link.

After completing the Borough’s first dark fibre connection in 2005, FibreSpan has subsequently been awarded four additional contracts to expand the network.  Techniques, services, and costs of a variety of suppliers were assessed in each instance but FibreSpan was continually seen as providing best value.  The latest deployment involved replacing BT LES circuits previously leased by the Council, enabling them to meet increasing bandwidth requirements within a specified budget.

The Council was attracted to FibreSpan because it provides dark fibre at the most competitive rate and charges a fixed annual cost regardless of bandwidth or usage, providing the Council with a fixed cost base for the term of the contract.  Moreover, the Council was impressed by FibreSpan’s flexible approach in constructing a solution and payment plan to suit their requirements.

The deployment took place using FibreSpan’s patent-pending microduct deployment technique, in the heart of Hammersmith, and like the other connections is integrated with the Council’s existing infrastructure.  The client now enjoys an even larger fully maintained and supported dark fibre connection between its sites.
