FibreSpan selected to connect Punch Taverns’ new offices
London, United Kingdom, 23 February 2009
FibreSpan has been awarded the contract to provide dedicated dark fibre connectivity to Punch Taverns’ new state of the art offices in Burton on Trent. Punch Taverns operates throughout the UK with over 8400 pubs across its portfolio. The new building at Centrum One Hundred will house a mixture of employees from several of the company’s offices.
In keeping with the new building’s high level of technology, it was clear that a dedicated dark fibre connection linking the site to headquarters was the best solution for Punch Taverns’ network requirement. After assessing several providers for quality, price, and overall value, Punch Taverns awarded the contract to FibreSpan.
FibreSpan’s patent pending microduct technology allows fibre connections to be laid in the most environmentally friendly way. That coupled with, twenty four hour customer support helped make FibreSpan a clear winner.
Because the building is close to being finished after nine months of construction it was imperative that Punch Taverns selected a dark fibre provider that could complete the connection quickly and within the project’s tight time-line. ‘We are really able to give clients the whole package - environmentally friendly deployment, attention to time constraints, and project management that truly caters for our client’s needs and concerns.’ explained Adam Wheeler of FibreSpan.
