FibreSpan, Britain’s premier affordable dark fibre solution provider, has today announced that it has been contracted by the operator of the LINK cash machine network – the busiest shared ATM network in the world. The contact is for the second network link provided by FibreSpan.
The company was selected to continue its existing partnership with LINK, delivering dark fibre to incorporate an additional building in a LAN network extension.
FibreSpan was successful in tendering to provide dark fibre for high speed data services between two initial locations, selected because of its fixed price unlimited bandwidth model - making dark fibre affordable and putting LINK in control of its network.
“We are delighted to be working with LINK to extend their high speed LAN in Harrogate. The selection is an encouraging reflection of the increasing change in attitude and shift away from the traditional bandwidth restricted service providers,” comments Robert Bicket, CEO of FibreSpan.
This second contract signing is testament to the success of the initial network build in terms of its performance, reliability and commercial feasibility.
