Leading Public Sector Network Integrator

Chooses FibreSpan Again as Dark Fibre Networking Partner

London, United Kingdom, 24 July 2008

Synetrix has selected FibreSpan as its dark fibre network partner to supply and implement yet another high-speed connection for one of their education sector clients. The link will connect two primary schools in Richmond, London and is designed to provide access to a much wider range of learning resources.

Synetrix is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of broadband network solutions to the public sector.  FibreSpan began their relationship with the service provider when it installed a bespoke, private network in Hereford, linking the Town Hall with a number of sixth form colleges.  Pleased with the service, rapid installation time, and overall value, Synetrix has chosen FibreSpan again.

Additionally, because FibreSpan supplies dark fibre at the most competitive rate and charges a fixed annual cost regardless of bandwidth or usage, Synetrix was guaranteed a fixed-cost base for the term of the contract and a more profitable revenue model.

Andy Hvass, Director of Synetrix comments:  “Incorporating FibreSpan's technology has allowed us to offer viable and cost effective end to end fibre connectivity when designing high bandwidth networks.”

The bespoke network was deployed in less than ten days using FibreSpan’s patent pending microduct technology.  In the future, FibreSpan will be advising Synetrix on how its network can be further extended to meet the requirements of additional sites while meeting challenging time and budgetary constraints.
